Head of Strategy
David Roberts joined Angelo, Gordon in 1993 and is Head of Strategy. He is a Managing Director and a member of Angelo, Gordon’s executive committee. At Angelo, Gordon, David has been responsible for helping start and grow a number of the firm’s businesses, including opportunistic real estate, private equity, net lease real estate, residential mortgage-backed securities and energy lending. Within private equity, David focused in particular on investments in the specialty finance area, including helping to create and serving for over 15 years as Lead Director of publicly traded PRA Group, Inc. (formerly Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc.), an Angelo, Gordon portfolio company whose primary business is the purchase, collection and management of portfolios of nonperforming loans. Prior to Angelo, Gordon, David was a Principal at Gordon Investment Corporation, a Canadian merchant bank, from 1989 to 1993, where he participated in a wide variety of principal transactions. He also worked in the Corporate Finance Department at L.F. Rothschild where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions. David has a B.S. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Chief Financial Officer
Frank Stadelmaier is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and oversees the accounting, operations, tax and treasury functions. Frank joined Angelo, Gordon in 2008 as Chief Accounting Officer. He was the CFO of the firm’s publicly traded mortgage real estate investment trust, AG Mortgage Investment Trust, Inc. from its inception until September 2013 and is currently a member of its board of directors. Previously, Frank was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, LLP where he served clients in the real estate and financial services industries. Frank is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. degree from the University at Albany, SUNY.
Mark Maduras joined Angelo, Gordon in 2001 and is the head of finance for real estate and private equity at the firm. He manages a 30-person group that provides dedicated finance support to Angelo Gordon’s real estate teams in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, London and Amsterdam, as well as the private equity group in New York. Mark is a voting member of the firm’s real estate investment committees for all real estate funds. He has been the lead finance person responsible for all real estate investment and fund structuring, representing over $12 billion of real estate acquisitions over the last 10 years. Prior to joining the firm, Mark was the Chief Financial Officer of ATC Management, L.L.C., a real estate partnership that included Angelo, Gordon. Before that, he worked at Merrill Lynch, Tishman Speyer Properties, Olympia & York, USA and Coopers & Lybrand, LLP. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. degree from New York Institute of Technology and an M.S. degree from New York University.
D. Forest Wolfe
D. Forest Wolfe joined Angelo, Gordon in 2009. He is the firm’s General Counsel and is responsible for firm legal and compliance matters. Previously, Forest was an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley, where he oversaw U.S. legal coverage of the Private Wealth Management Division. Prior to that, Forest provided legal coverage for a variety of Morgan Stanley businesses, including structured investments, restricted securities and several capital markets groups. Forest began his legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP where he worked in both London and New York, specializing in securities, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. He holds both a B.A. and J.D. degree from Emory University.
Chief Compliance Officer
Adam Freedman joined Angelo, Gordon in November 2012. He is the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Previously, Adam served as an Executive Director in Morgan Stanley’s Legal and Compliance Department, where he led the Regulatory Counsel/Policies & Procedures Group. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Adam was a Litigation Associate with the law firms Schulte Roth & Zabel and Whitman Breed Abbot & Morgan. He holds a B.A. degree from Yale University and law degrees from Oxford University and the University of Chicago.
Chief Risk Officer
Andrew Parks joined Angelo, Gordon in 2009 as the Firm's Chief Risk Officer. Before joining Angelo, Gordon, Andy was associated with Morgan Stanley where he served as an Executive Director overseeing the risk management group for the ultra high net worth division in the United States and Latin America. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Andy worked as a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets, secured corporate credit and real estate acquisition/finance. Andy holds a B.A. degree from Tulane University and a J.D. degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
Chief Information Officer
Robert Graffeo joined Angelo, Gordon in 2013 as Chief Information Officer in charge of technology. Previously, Rob worked at JPMorgan Chase where he was a Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer, US Private Banking within Asset Management. Prior to that, Rob worked in a number of executive technology positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse Asset Management and Salomon Brothers. Rob has more than twenty years of technology leadership experience. Rob holds a B.A. degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Managing Director, Human Resources
Linda Eichenbaum joined Angelo, Gordon in 2006 as Managing Director, Human Resources and is responsible for Human Resources and Administrative/Office Services. Linda brings more than 20 years experience in developing and managing the Human Resources function in a variety of industries. Before joining Angelo, Gordon, Linda was Vice President of Human Resources at HRG North America, a corporate services company. Prior to that, Linda’s experience included creating and managing the Human Resources infrastructure for Vencast, Inc., a financial services company that raised capital for private equity funds and hedge funds and for CertCo, Inc., a technology company, and managing the Human Resources function at The Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Linda has a B.S. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
