Angelo Gordon began investing in real estate in the U.S. in 1993 and has acquired $19 billion of properties in this region.

We manage real estate assets across the country, with a heavy focus on the top 20 markets.  Our strategy spans a broad spectrum of value creation, ranging from light value-add to heavy value-add, with the goal of increasing cash flow and stabilizing underperforming properties.  We typically source assets from owners who lack the capital, patience or expertise to improve cash flow and value.  We find significant inefficiencies in the real estate market, which might be due to a poorly marketed or completely off-market process, lender-controlled assets where the seller does not have full information, or Angelo Gordon’s creative approach to repositioning an asset in a way that others might not see.

We have over 20 real estate investment professionals focused by region across the U.S. who generally work in tandem with our network of over 50 local operating partners to source and add value to real estate deals.  We believe that real estate is a local business and endeavor to find attractive, risk-adjusted opportunities on an off-market basis, enabling us to buy and exit below replacement cost.  In addition, we believe our conservative use of debt supports our investment activity without adding undue risk.
