Sunil Kothari joined Angelo Gordon in 2019 and is a Managing Director on the firm’s Structured Credit team and Head of European ABS, focusing on European opportunities. Prior to joining Angelo Gordon, Sunil worked at PIMCO, where he was head of the European ABS and covered bond desks and led acquisitions of whole loan portfolios for fixed income and alternatives strategies. Previously, he was an analyst on the firm’s US structured credit team, focusing on consumer ABS and 2nd lien non-agency RMBS, and served as the lead ABS analyst for PIMCO’s mandate as Collateral Monitor to the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility Program. Sunil holds a B.S. and Master’s degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
