Art Peponis joined Angelo Gordon in 2009 and is Head of the firm’s private equity area and a Managing Director. Art is responsible for the deployment of capital and oversight of our private equity portfolio and sits on all of our portfolio companies’ boards. Before joining Angelo, Gordon, Art was a Partner at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and the Chief Operating Officer of the Financial Sponsors Group in New York where he sourced over $3 billion of investments for Goldman’s Principal Investment Area. Art holds an A.B. degree from Princeton University and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School.
